I met Jeff on a FB live we did together for Science Careers on the real life of a scientist. His piece had been about reading fiction; mine was about coffee breaks.
About a month later, I find out that he’s doing a passion project – interviewing PhD students and getting them to share their experience. What led them to this point and what have been the ups and downs of doing the PhD.
It was a good time for me to sit down and reflect, and actually pen concrete thoughts down (instead of just write about them in a more abstract, poetic way haha).
